Home of the Civ V Unofficial Patch, G&K Enhanced, and Vanilla Enhanced Mod

Update: v5.4

I’m taking a break from modding for a while to focus on work and family. I’ll still be watching the forum threads to update with minor changes whenever bugs or gameplay issues are found, and will go on with heavy-duty modding when I feel ready to continue. 🙂

  • Oligarchy should correctly negate unit maintenance now.
  • Unit maintenance is now cost/75 (was cost/100).
  • Reduced amount of Oil on the map.
  • Added specialist slots to Power Plants, Broadcast Towers, and the Observatory.
  • Slightly reduced policy costs.

I’m a first time user of your mod and I have a problem that I can’t fix… I checked everywhere but no one mentioned it.
Well, it seems that in the game I can’t see any unit options or orders. I can’t make settlers to settle, workers to work, or any other unit options. Also, tile information doesn’t show when you hover your mouse over it.
My computer has no similar problems while playing the original civ v.

The issue with unit orders sounds like an incompatibility with another mod. The problem where you don’t have a choice to start a new game sounds like you have the new world and/or mongol mods enabled, which are used specifically for those scenarios.

Hi, I’m not able to get these mods working, can anyone advise?

The balance mod is installed and enabled in my mod browser. When I go to mods > single player, I get options for ‘custom game’ and ‘load game’. When I select ‘custom game’, there is only the choice of the new world scenario and no choice to set up a new game. Looking at online instructions I should be able to set up a new game from this menu, and the mod will be used. Maybe deleting my cache files did this?

  3. Have you tried clearing your cache? #1 on the list here: Reporting Bugs

Yes – tried this last night and it worked. I did also clear my cache before I installed the mod, but didn’t think to try it again until I was out of options and considering a reinstall. Incidentally I also deleted the .ini files in the main directory, but not sure if it was this or clearing the cache that did it.
