v131.19 Beta

I’m aware of a recent beta bug where opportunities do not appear. I’m investigating this but it’s been difficult to track down.

Misc

  • Fixed a bug causing the enemy unit panel to not display.
  • Fixed a bug with leader traits involving barbarian capture.
  • AIs should now properly receive their starting units.
  • Babylon now correctly starts with a Bowman.

    Thal,

What are your thoughts about either changing the Dynamite technology to give cities range 3 attacks, or if this is not accessible as a change, then making artillery only range 2 since it doesn’t require a resource and aircraft are not typically available to counter at this point in the game? If the question is moot due to Gods and Kings bringing earlier tech aircraft to the table, then that’s fine too. In many conquest games, 2 artillery and 1 leveled up mounted unit can sweep the map of a cannon tech civilization with no damage taken.

Hmm i used the other betas previous to this one, now i dont see my buildings on the city screen in the capital, in other cities it works, sometimes. Dont know if its because i tried the mod “in-game editor”. Maybe need to do a clean install again. Ive tried to the guide to clear the cache, logs etc. Thanks for your great work, i really respect what youre doing. Firaxis should hire you.

I definitely agree with upgrading city attacks to a range of 3.

    • Altering city attack range mid-game would require the game core only Firaxis has access to.
