  1. Is it just me who feels that 3-6% science is a little weak for the price of a Research Agreement? It usually pays off, but only when you’ve arranged three or more of them… And that’s expensive… :/

Thal, did you get a chance to look into this problem (below)? As much as I love your GEM Mod this is a deal-breaker for me unless fixed. It makes it so that it seems better to found your cities on anything but a river tile, even when there is one close by, as you can then work the river tile with a worker to reap the extra gold on the tile that you can’t get from founding your city there, even though you should be able to (and you do if you use only CivUp and not GEM). Please look into this in the near future if possible. Like I said, it’s a deal breaker for me.

The problem is in GEM. Start a new game with _only_ CivUp enabled and found your 1st city on a river tile. When you found your capitol you will receive 1 gold from the tile as well as the other benefits (food, etc.). Now start a game with CivUp and GEM enabled and found your first city on a river. You will not get the 1 gold from that tile in your capitol. Hope this makes more sense

Now it appears that _NO_ river tiles are getting the one gold they should be getting. 😦

    • River tiles only get that gold if they’re improved.

I’m guessing the city-river tile issue is a different problem.

I’m well aware of that. It has been that way for quite a while now. What I mean is with GEM Beta 3 I no longer get any gold on any river tiles, period. I have only GEM and CivUp running and have cleared my cache and Mod User Data files.

Am I the only one seeing this problem?
