  1. This is a very nice development! I only play with the communitas map anymore, even when not using the rest of communitas (this is mostly to enjoy the altered beliefs and policies machiavelli24, but when I play with his alterations I miss the communitas unit promotions, buildings, leaders, AI and culture curve…) The tundra belief of communitas tends to be overpowered for civilizations that start near the poles in this map. Still, glad to see these improvements on the map script!

    • I wouldn’t necessarily say that the tundra thing is unbalanced. Yes, they get a significant advantage in rushing religion, but unless you’re pitted against multiple ‘religious’ civs, you can usually pull ahead in religion enough to found your own, at which point you can fight back against the dominant religion via the proper choice of beliefs or by simply conquering them in war.

Also, religion is only really crucial for cultural or diplomatic victories, imo. If you focus on science or war, you can overcome religious civs by a number of means.

  2. I have to agree. The Communitas map is one of the most balanced, fun map scripts I have ever seen. Best of all, it scales fantastically in my experience, providing equal opportunity for land warfare and sea warfare on maps of varying size, all without creating those annoying starting conditions which prevent conservative Civs from expanding comfortably.
